These sweets were presented as a gift to Prince and Princess Takamatsu when they visited Dake ski resort in 1955 and 1957. They are called Kurogane-yaki, a specialty of Dake Onsen found only at Tamagawaya of Dake.

Abe Shoten is located below the onsen shrine at Dake Onsen. Since its establishment in 1954, it has sold the delicious local sake of Nihonmatsu made with pure water from Mt. Adatara, as well as tourist souvenirs and daily sundries.

Traveling along Prefectural Highway 30 from Dake Onsen toward Motomiya, Yamano-panya Chapeau is located on the right-hand side at the entrance to Kenmin no Mori Forest Park Adatara. It is about 20 minutes from both Nihonmatsu I.C. and Motomoiya I.C.

This liquor shop was a sake purveyor to the Oshu Nihonmatsu clan.
Receiving licensure from the Niwa Lord, the big four sake breweries, Fujiinoi, Okunomatsu, Daishichi, and Sasanokawa, began brewing. Their sakes, made from the subsoil water of Adatara, were well-loved by the feudal lords successively. Why not take home the shop's original "Daiginjoken" or "Ginjobakufugun" as gifts?
